Source: EU rolls over blacklist of Russians till Sep 15
BRUSSELS, Mar 10 (PRIME) -- The E.U. will roll over sanctions against Russian and Ukrainian officials and organizations over the Ukrainian conflict until September 15, a source told PRIME on Thursday.
“The document has been approved,” the source said, referring to a meeting of the domestic affairs ministers of the E.U. which took place earlier on Thursday.
The blacklist contains travel restrictions and asset arrests of 149 Russians and Ukrainians and 37 firms believed to have participated in the events in Crimea and the east of Ukraine. This set of sanctions was firstly imposed on March 17, 2014.
The economic sanctions against Russia are regulated by a separate order, the current one is in force until July 31, 2016. A special order on sanctions against Crimea lasts till June 23.
